This single vineyard, 2022 vintage wine is 100% barrel-fermented with 20% new French oak aged on 100 percent gross lees. On the nose, enticing aromas of calla lily, roasted almond, yellow peach and crushed river stone swirl amid undertones of marzipan and flaky pie crust.
Perfumed ripe summer black cherry, pomegranate seed, sweet spice and essence of mandarin rind mingle beautifully with warm pie crust, almond paste and vanilla pod aromas. On the palate, this Zinfandel is energetic and multi-faceted. Details of fresh dark fruit with undertones of toasted coffee bean give way to a core of inviting, velvety tannins and a long fresh finish.
This wine exudes the purity of the ideal essence of Zinfandel fruit, with aromas of crushed summer-ripened black raspberries and huckleberries, purple plum flesh and an underlining pulse of violet petal. Wonderful and lifted flavors of blackberry cobbler, shaved cocoa and dustings of espresso grounds frame the firm and youthful tannins.
Deep, dark ripe plum, cassis, mineral and a dusting of shaved vanilla bean pod, sassafras, earthen char, and dried underbrush waft from the glass. A beautiful freshness gives lift to the mid-palate while the lingering sweet dark fruit provides depth. Firm but graceful tannins linger on the palate.
This elegant Rosé has a light rose-copper tint with scents of wild strawberry, dried chamomile blossom, bosc pear and crushed chalk, punctuated by traces of morning alyssum blossom. This is the third iteration of our beautifully aromatic dry Muscat Blanc, showcasing one of the oldest grape varietals in the world. We select the fruit for this wine from just a few rows in one of our family’s organically farmed vineyards in Lake County. Bergamot, orange rind, sun-drenched jasmine blossom, and dried Noisette rose with undertones of freshly minced ginger.
