Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The combination of the growing season and a very low
yield (most of our Zinfandel barely reached 50 percent of
their average) resulted in 2022 releases with incredible
depth and great concentration. And because it was
apparent very early on that the sugars could easily race
away from us, we managed the crop very closely. These
more frequent vineyard visits and constant
communication with our growers allowed us to determine
the perfect time for harvest, that translated into wines
with beautiful freshness and lots of layered fruit and
wonderful aromatics.
Winemaker Notes
Perfumed ripe summer black cherry, pomegranate seed,
sweet spice and essence of mandarin rind mingle
beautifully with warm pie crust, almond paste and vanilla
pod aromas. On the palate, this Zinfandel is energetic and
multi-faceted. Details of fresh dark fruit with undertones
of toasted coffee bean give way to a core of inviting,
velvety tannins and a long fresh finish. Despite its early
accessibility, this wonderful limited production Zinfandel
will be generous in its enjoyability for at least 7+ years.
